Sweet, sweet summer evenings by the sea. The scent of seaweed and wet stone, the sound of water lapping and distant laughter from kids throwing themselves into the waves. The air tastes of salt and meat slowly charring over hot coals. There’s just enough warmth left to let your skin dry after a swim in the ocean, between the tiny boats returning from a day beyond the horizon.
Why is it, that you can’t fully appreciate evenings like this, until they’re a distant memory?
Oh, sunrays on Ektar
Kodak Ektar has to be the consummate summer film for me. Nothing quite rivals the punch of colors and contrast when you nail that exposure in nice glittering light.
This is my bunch on Lomma beach–the dog’s end.
Summer in black & white
Autumn is here and soon winter will be too. This is the season where I have most trouble stying motivated to shoot. Maybe it’s because there’s so little light during those short, short rainy days. I know I should be busy organising studio shoots instead, but life has been filled to the brim with other stuff lately.
Well, while we wait for that motivation to stir again, I’ll be posting photos from summer. Here’s the first batch.
This is from our first foto session with Karin F from a few years ago. We stole a few moments alone in the Botanical Garden in Lund, to snap a few frames.
